Blackcurrant-thyme spritz

In this cocktail, blackcurrant liqueur, thyme and sparkling wine meet in a festive spritz. Designed by Teresa Välimäki, it’s elegant and can also be prepared as a mocktail.

Ingredients

1 serving

 

  • Ice cubes
  • 4 cl blackcurrant liqueur
  • Strip of lemon peel
  • 1 tbsp frozen blackcurrants
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 1 dl dry sparkling wine
  • 4 cl soda or mineral water

Instructions

Fill a large red wine glass with ice. Add blackcurrant liqueur. Gently bend the lemon peel to release aromas into the glass, then drop it in. Add blackcurrants and thyme. Pour in sparkling wine and soda/mineral water. Stir gently with a bar spoon and serve immediately.
