Maku Kitchen Life turns 10, and joining us in celebrating our anniversary year is Teresa Välimäki – a top chef and beloved TV personality in Finland.

How to sharpen with the handy Maku Roller knife sharpener

Teresa is often asked what the most important tool for a chef or home cook is, and the answer is easy. It’s a good, SHARP knife.

Teresa started using the sharpener and here are a few of her observations:
– Easy and safe to use
– The knife stays firmly in place in the magnetic angle holder
– The angle holder has convenient pre-set sharpening angles (15, 18, 20, and 25 degrees)
– the diamond grinding plate sharpens and the ceramic polishing plate finishes

Get into the Christmas spirit with Teresa Välimäki's Christmas pistachio and pear porridge.

Teresa developed a delicious Christmas porridge, but instead of rice, she used familiar and quick-cooking oat flakes. The porridge is cooked in rich almond milk and seasoned with cardamom, pear, pistachio paste, and crushed pistachios.

To celebrate Maku’s anniversary year, Teresa created a complete three-course dinner menu.
