Meat Stew Oktoberfest Style
This stew brings the festive atmosphere of Germany straight to your home, but it melts in your mouth just as well all year round.
Ingredients
1 kg pork neck
1 kg beef entrecôte
1-2 carrots
1 onion
1 parsnip
1-2 garlic cloves
1 L beef broth
1 sprig of rosemary
0.5 L German beer
1/2 bunch of parsley
Butter and oil for browning
Salt and black pepper
Instructions
Cut the meat into large cubes. Peel and dice the vegetables, and finely chop the garlic.
Heat a pot or pan on the stove, add oil and butter. Brown the meat and vegetables for a moment, seasoning with salt and black pepper.
Add the beer and beef broth until the ingredients are covered, then add the rosemary. Simmer in the oven with the lid on for 3-4 hours at about 175°C.
Add chopped parsley to the finished stew.
Serve this delicious stew with boiled potatoes and sauerkraut!
