Country pie

Ingredients

1,3 kg of floury potatoes 2 dl of milk
2 tbsp butter
3 egg yolks
Add salt to the boiling water and potato mash.

400 g minced beef
100 g peas
1,5 dl chopped celery
1 yellow onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp chopped thyme
3 dl chopped carrots
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika powder
0,5 dl wheat flour
2,5 dl water
1 bouillon cube
300 g grated cheddar cheese
4 tbsp tomato puree
400 g whole tomatoes in a can

Instructions

Boil the potatoes in salted water. When the potatoes are cooked, put the potatoes in an mixer, mash at full power and finally add the milk, butter, half of the cheese and the yolks. Blend gently until smooth and taste, adding salt if necessary.

Chop everything into neat little cubes. Brown the mince in a pan and pour from the pan into another dish, then in the same pan sauté the onions, carrot and celery in olive oil. Pour in the mince, add the tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, paprika powder and flour. Stir, add the bouillon cube, water, thyme and tomatoes. Let simmer under the lid until you are ready with everything else.

Grease the Maku casserole with butter and add sauce halfway to the bottom, then top with mashed potatoes. Finish with the grated cheese. Bake in a 200°C oven for 30 minutes.
