A French-style butter keeper keeps butter soft, fresh, and ready to spread at room temperature for several days. Its unique design uses a water seal to protect the butter from air exposure, helping to maintain freshness and prevent oxidation. Soften 125 g of butter at room temperature, then firmly pack it into the cup-shaped section of the lid. Fill the base with cold water (approximately 60 ml, or enough for the water to reach the rim of the lid) and place the lid upside down into the water. The water creates an airtight seal that helps keep air and unwanted odours away from the butter. For best results, replace the water every three days. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Hand wash only.
