Cut pears into wedges, remove cores, and place in a bowl. Heat olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan to boiling. Remove from heat, stir in lemon zest and thyme. Pour hot marinade over pears. Marinate at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Arrange pears on a platter, sprinkle with blue cheese and pecans.
