1 dl sugar
1 dl water
3 sprigs of mint
4 oranges
White chocolate mousse:
2 dl whipping cream
100 g white chocolate
100 g lemon‑flavoured cream cheese
0.5 tsp cardamom
1 dl powdered sugar
For garnish:
Fresh mint
Combine the sugar, water, star anise, and a pinch of cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool slightly.
Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, removing all membranes, and slice them. Turn the orange slices in the syrup and let marinate for about 15 minutes.
Whip the cream. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or over a water bath. Mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and cardamom. Add the melted chocolate in a thin stream, mixing well. Fold in the whipped cream.
Place the marinated orange slices into serving bowls and spoon the white chocolate mousse on top. Garnish with mint.
