Ten years, countless moments in kitchens and around dining tables. Over the years, Maku Kitchen Life has grown to become part of everyday life and festive occasions alike – a trusted companion that brings quality, practicality, and the joy of beautiful design into the kitchen.
To celebrate this shared journey, we launched a unique anniversary collection, inviting you to pause, set the table beautifully, and enjoy the moment.
The anniversary selection embodies Maku Kitchen Life’s core values – quality, functionality, and timeless aesthetics – expressed in refined shades: deep brown, warm beige, plum, forest green, and festive gold.
This thoughtfully curated collection introduces stunning new pieces for both cooking and table settings. The materials, tones, and details exude a timeless atmosphere and add a touch of everyday luxury – precisely what makes the Maku brand so beloved.
Sarka pattern
To mark the beginning of our next decade, we designed the new Sarka pattern, featured prominently in the 10th anniversary collection and in future ranges.
The roots of the Sarka pattern lie in the vegetable garden: natural colors, plant motifs, and bold ink strokes give it its distinctive character. From the pattern, we drew out the marigold (Tagetes patula), which inspired the name of its more minimal version: Sarka Patula.
Hannele Kiviniemi
The Sarka pattern was designed by acclaimed Finnish designer Hannele Kiviniemi. Natural elements often feature in Hannele’s versatile work, bringing a sense of harmony and delicate atmosphere to her patterns.

Our anniversary year is crowned by Teresa Välimäki – a highly respected chef and a familiar face from TV – who has joined us in creating unforgettable Maku moments.
