From kitchen to table, with love – Maku Kitchen Life 10 years

Ten years, countless moments in kitchens and around dining tables. Over the years, Maku Kitchen Life has grown into a trusted companion – part of everyday routines and festive atmospheres alike, bringing quality, practicality, and the joy of beautiful design into the heart of the home. 

In autumn 2025, we’ll celebrate this shared journey with the launch of a unique anniversary collection – an invitation to pause, set the table beautifully, and savour the moment. 

The anniversary collection reflects the core values of Maku Kitchen Life – quality, functionality, and timeless aesthetics – in refined tones: deep brown, warm beige, plum, forest green, and festive gold. 

This thoughtfully curated collection brings elegant new additions for both cooking and table settings. Every material, shade, and detail reflects a sense of timelessness and adds a touch of everyday luxury – the very essence of what makes the Maku brand so beloved. 

 

 

To celebrate the next decade of our brand, we have designed a new pattern, Sarka, which will feature prominently in our 10th anniversary collection and future product ranges.

The Sarka pattern was created by acclaimed Finnish designer Hannele Kiviniemi. Hannele’s diverse work often reflects elements of nature, bringing a harmonious and delicate atmosphere to her designs.

The Sarka pattern is rooted in the vegetable garden: its earthy colors, plant-inspired motifs, and bold brush strokes give it a truly distinctive character. A small marigold (Tagetes patula) featured in the pattern inspired the name of a simplified version of the design, Sarka Patula.

Joining us for the anniversary year is Teresa Välimäki, a long-time food professional and well-known TV personality. Throughout the autumn, we will be able to enjoy Teresa’s knowledge online and in social media.

There will be, among other things, delicious recipes designed by Teresa, of which we have already published one for a first taste. Try Teresa’s delicious chicken and vegetable wok, finished with mint and crispy garlic.
